Why switch

The table grabber that doesn't hold your data hostage

The old go-to extensions cap your rows, paywall Excel and track your browsing. SheetGrab does none of it.

The short answer

How do you export an HTML table to Excel, CSV or Google Sheets?

Install SheetGrab, open any page with a table, click the toolbar icon and then click the table you want. Choose CSV, Excel (.xlsx) or JSON to download it, or Copy to paste it straight into Google Sheets or Excel. It works on any HTML <table> — and on many div/ARIA grids like Notion and Airtable — with no row limit.

Copy-pasting a web table into a spreadsheet usually breaks: columns merge, numbers turn into text, and big tables get cut off. SheetGrab reads the table's real structure — including headers, and colspan/rowspan merged cells — and writes clean, correctly-quoted data (RFC 4180 CSV) so it opens perfectly in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets every time.

Because everything runs locally in your browser, there's no upload, no account and no limit on how much data you grab. A 40,000-row reference table exports just as easily as a four-row pricing grid — and nothing about what you're scraping ever leaves your machine.

Questions

Good to know

Is SheetGrab really free?

Yes. The free tier exports any table to CSV, Excel, JSON and clipboard with no row limit and no sign-up — forever. Pro (£2.49/mo, £15/yr, or £29 once for lifetime) adds whole-page batch export and column mapping.

Does it work with Google Sheets?

Yes — use the Copy button and paste (Ctrl/Cmd+V) directly into a Google Sheets or Excel cell. The columns and rows land exactly where they should. You can also download a CSV and import it.

Is there a row limit like other extensions?

No. Unlike table extensions that cap the free tier at around 250 rows, SheetGrab has no row limit on any format, free or Pro.

Does it track me or send my data anywhere?

No. All extraction and export happens on your device. SheetGrab has no analytics and requests only the minimal Chrome permissions it needs to read the table you click.

What about tables that aren't real <table> tags?

SheetGrab also does best-effort extraction of div/ARIA grid layouts — the kind Notion, Airtable and many dashboards use — falling back automatically when there's no standard table.

How do I pay for Pro?

Payments are handled securely by ExtensionPay and Stripe, right inside the extension. Choose monthly, yearly, or the one-off lifetime licence.
